The call came in abruptly. The trinket glowing from Amara’s necklace would indicate there was something important occurring within the galaxy they currently were dwelling in. The other members would receive it as well, but being Dani and Amara were the closest to the reported site they would make it there first. Dani rested upon the chaise lounge as the snow sparkled down from the sky like glistening diamonds through the window. Amara was nestled in a ball on the window sill. Neither of them particularly wanted to get up from their comfort, as most of these “important calls” ended up being people panicking over little to nothing. The message started to write itself out upon the board on the far wall, letter by letter it began to appear. When it was complete, a short ding would reverberate through the rooms. Before the ringing could finish a potted plant was flying through the air to hit a button forcing the ringing to come to an abrupt stop. With a sigh, Dani shifted her gaze towards Amara, who was visibly annoyed she was disturbed from her slumber. A faint light surrounding the fox’s form indicated that she was the culprit behind the flying object. “You know we are going to have to go whether you press the snoo…. ,” Dani muttered, but before she could finish the sentence a notebook would be spiraling towards her face. Catching it with her hand, while still staring at Amara who just slyly grinned like the fox she was, laughed at the usual mayhem. “Let’s hope whatever we are going to investigate is more exciting than that pathetic throw attempt,” a bit of a cheap shot towards Amara was returned verbally before they both burst into laughter. Dani arose from the chair heading over to the board, while Amara stretched out her limbs followed by a long exaggerated yawn. The Board read: “ Warning, what appears to be a sink hole has appeared on one of the main roads of Planet Sonikku. Someone has claimed that the portal leads to the human world and could endanger others. Please investigate the area, and if deemed dangerous quarantine it to prevent others from getting hurt.” This wasn’t a warning for their world per say, as humans couldn’t survive on many of these planets without assistance. Some humans however, want to capture the unknown and “learn” aka experiment on what they do not know to understand it. Leaving these types of powers in human hands is part of why that could be dangerous, if they learned to manipulate another species there is no telling what dangers would occur.
The second concern, similar to the first, is our kind exposing magical beings in the human world. As history has shown, stories like Merlin have not ended very well at points or even led to execution of “witches” in some stories. While some have become known in fantasy as heroes, many suffered for those events to occur. The final reason is that a magical being just chooses to rampage and destroy a planet like Earth and obliterate an entire “species”. In which the humans do not need our help in doing so, they do it to themselves. With that, Dani and Amara would exit the building as their powers re-merged to investigate what was likely some prank in the end. Upon their arrival, down a path that had many mountainous areas and cliff sides a higher concern started to arise. There was music coming from somewhere. The cliffs made it echo through miles upon miles making it impossible to pinpoint the culprit. Music in areas with cliffs, if the frequency was at certain levels could make vibrations causing loose rock areas to start a landslide. This could block off main roads needed between cities, injure someone, among other dangers. Dani closed her eyes, while her right ear twitched from the music echoing, trying to pinpoint it, wondering if the path ahead was going to be perilous. Sadly, to no avail neither Amara or Dani could find conclusive evidence to support their concerns. So with caution they proceeded. Her heart started to race as they continued down the path to the expected site location, for the sound got louder. Pebbles on the floor occasionally shifted visibly from the vibrations. ~Are people dumb enough to be throwing a party in the valley? Certainly we have not degraded so far to the natural selection level of human stupidity?~ Amara and Dani’s thoughts to one another could be communicated without others hearing them. Although there were some who had powers where their thoughts may not be so private. It was rare here for someone to possess such skills on this planet. A few stray rocks fell from above. Not large enough to cause damage, but it confirmed the dangers of moving towards the growing sounds of music. Another mile of travel through the valley made them realize the road of the reported site was exactly where the music was coming from. There was no one on site upon arrival, yet the music still roared through the valley and air. Cracks creeped up the side of the valley walls and cliffs, making this investigation one that had a time limit for their safety. With the swift agile movements of a fox, Dani made it safely to approximately ten feet away from the gaping hole in the ground. The music was coming from there. Was there a cave underneath this valley that people were unaware of? Dani threw a rock into the hole, small enough to avoid injury if someone was below them. Yet large enough to create sound they could possibly hear over the blasting music that made Dani’s ears press down against her head. There was no confirmation of sound that the hole in front of them had a bottom that existed on this planet. The peak of the song came on, and a cliff creaked with a sickening sound, as a deep line could be seen traveling up the rest of the rocks. Dani looked around to make sure there was no one that could be hit if the cliff side collapsed, but before she could finish the cliff side started to come down upon her. There were two options, try to outrun the landslide that was engulfing a good portion of this area quickly, or dive into the very hole they were meant to investigate and see where they ended up. So…. she jumped down into the mysterious void and darkness of the pit. Landing in a world unknown to them, but music seemed to encompass every corner of the environment around them. There was no portal in sight from the direction they had fallen, so the collapsed valley seemed to have cut off their immediate exit. Which means they technically finished their investigation of the portal now being closed, but now they were in an unknown world and had to quickly figure out what was to come.
